Ventilation & Functionality Meet Beautiful Design

Request a quote

Often the heart of the home and used frequently for socialising and daily activity, kitchens and their windows should be as practical as they are aesthetically pleasing. Custom-made kitchen windows are a great way to add individual style, natural light, and essential ventilation to the space. They create a welcoming sense of openness while effectively airing moisture, smoke, or smells caused by cooking. From a large central window placed above a sink to a smaller model beautifully matching existing architecture, at Neuffer we can craft a bespoke window for your kitchen with excellent thermal insulation, security, and acoustic performance.

Tailored Practical Performance

When it comes to kitchen windows, some customers may prioritise innovative opening possibilities whereas others may prefer a fixed model or wish to maximise thermal insulation to achieve passive house certificates. Thanks to our stringent product testing and close ties with a range of quality suppliers, at Neuffer a range of frames, glazing, mechanisms, and fittings are available. Different combinations of these parts will influence the kitchen window's performance and come together to create a perfectly purpose-designed final product.

With successful projects across the world, from renowned university libraries, New York façades, and energy efficient private homes, at Neuffer we are specialists in international shipping, bespoke products, and consultation appointments. Different Openings for Ideal Ventilation

The degree of ventilation required from new kitchen windows will depend on the number of existing or planned windows as well as other airing options present. We offer fixed kitchen windows, for example, that can be ideal when placed higher on the wall or for kitchens already equipped with extractors and wide patio doors. One of our innovative German tilt and turn windows, on the other hand, provides effective and nuanced airing. By turning the handle to different positions, the kitchen window can either be tilted ajar to provide a secure and subtle air supply, or rather swung fully inwards for maximum breeze.

Whether you aim to set an eye-catching accent and bring in much light or rather opt for a simpler look, the surrounding countertop, blinds, and appliances also partially dictate the window's form. At Neuffer we offer many solutions for this – a lower fanlight panel can be added beneath a tilt and turn window, for example. This can be ideal for those planning to install the inward-opening window above a kitchen sink as the operable sash is then placed higher up. Alternatively, we also offer windows with a tilt-only function as well as tiltable upper and lower fanlights that excellently save on space. Outward-opening window models can then also be supplied.

Quality Frame Materials

At Neuffer we offer a range of frame materials for kitchen windows. With each option bringing its own functional advantages and style, the kitchen window's location, existing architecture, and individual requirements will all play into a decision. To give an overview, the five frame material options are:

When it comes to uPVC, this is one of our most popular modern materials. Featuring internal insulating chambers, it is particularly energy-efficient and easy to clean, making it an ideal solution for a kitchen window installed above a hob or stove with much heat and moisture present.

Wood, on the other hand, remains a timeless choice adding sturdiness as well as charming design. Timber kitchen windows are therefore particularly well-suited to being positioned above matching tables in an open plan set-up.

When it comes to metal, we offer frames made entirely from aluminium as well as those featuring external cladding over a wooden or uPVC core. With an anodised finish and impressive durability, these kitchen windows can bring together the advantages of multiple materials and are ideal for long-term weather resistance for buildings located in harsher climates.

Rigorously Tested Glass & Security

Taking up a large proportion of a kitchen window's surface, modern quality glazing can really fine-tune the product. Triple glazing featuring three panes with spaces filled by inert sealed argon gas provides excellent thermal insulation, for example, as it prevents too much heat from being lost by conduction. South-facing kitchen windows therefore pose little issue and can even help to regulate interior temperatures. In a similar way glazing can also be purpose-designed for extra security or noise protection. An invisible foil interlayer can slow the travel of sound waves, for instance, while tempering and laminating the glass will greatly increase impact resistance.

Alongside glazing, kitchen windows on ground floors that may be more vulnerable to break-in attempts can then also feature secure handles, an increased number of locking points, and striking plates. This can have the window achieve a police-recommended burglar resistance class of RC2 and improves strength.

Whatever combination of features are selected, at Neuffer our sales managers are on hand to guide you through the process and make recommendations. Thanks to the wide range of options our windows have achieved strength certificates from the accreditation body IFT Rosenheim as well as passive house certificates due to their impressively low thermal u-values and energy efficiency.

Alongside numerous options to tailor functional performance, we also offer multiple add-ons and finishes to produce beautiful kitchen windows in your desired style. Colour plays a key role here. Depending on the frame's material, a large palette can be selected from for both the inside and outside of the product. From classic white, statement setting anthracite or replica wood decors and metallic glimmers, all colours are applied during manufacturing via professional processes like powder-coating or high temperature foiling. This ensures long-lasting vibrance and effective UV protection.

To further adjust kitchen window design, different shapes can also be considered. We have constructed trapezoid treehouse windows for a forest house project, for example, and can also supply round, triangular, and arched options, among others. Further popular style features, such as those used in our US builds, then include glazing bars that can be coloured to match windows. These bars can be integrated within or attached to glass and add character or align with historic home renovations as well as various wall façades. Roller shutter blinds that come in different designs are then our final recommended add-on for kitchen windows, given their space saving installation and the effective light protection offered.
