With over 150 years of experience in the window and door industry, we have perfected blending traditional workmanship from Germany with innovative performance and the latest window technology. From Passive House certified uPVC frames packed with integrated chambers that lead the market when it comes to energy efficiency, to versatile and user-friendly European opening systems, our highly customisable windows deliver impressive thermal performance, durability, UV protection, and more, all finished in a stunning design with the highest attention to detail. Below are some of our trusted German manufacturers for fittings and profiles.
uPVC
Modern and affordable, uPVC comes with sleek surfaces that can be easily wiped clean and require low maintenance. They are also highly customisable and well-suited to a range of colour finishes and wooden decors that are applied via a high temperature foiling process for excellent UV resistance and durable vibrance. Beyond design and upkeep, the material also boasts excellent thermal insulation. This is due to the numerous chambers inside its core that trap dense air to reduce energy loss via conduction.
Wood
As one of the oldest building materials, timber provides unparalleled charm as well as natural sturdiness and soundproofing. At Neuffer, we offer a wide range of timber types for our wooden models, from pine to oak, spruce, larch, and more. This means that frames and sashes can come with ideal bespoke grain patterns and textures. To further tailor the surface and tone to suit various interior design schemes and façades, it can then be finished in a professionally applied water-based varnish or an acrylic RAL colour of choice.
Aluminium
This metal is well-known for its natural strength, which provides excellent impact resistance and break-in protection. Because we anodise the metal’s surfaces during manufacturing, anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties for maximum durability can also be relied on, which have windows effectively withstand wear and tear from the elements. Beyond these protective features, the metal’s sleek surfaces also make for low upkeep and are well-suited to a range of professionally applied and long-lasting powder-coat colour and decor finishes.
Aluminium clad wood/uPVC
With our composite material combinations, deciding between window materials can become easier. A wooden or uPVC core shows on the interior and brings its charming patterns or excellent insulation, for example, while a strong metal shell protects the exterior. This brings together the advantages of two materials and can increase durability, especially for locations with more extreme weather conditions. As with our other materials, a range of colour finishes can then also be selected for both the metal exterior and the uPVC or wooden interior.
Whatever material you choose, our windows can be tailored to suit your property thanks to a wide selection of finishes, handles, and glazing types.
Additional Configuration Options
Windows essentially consist of a frame, one or more sashes, a profile system and glazing. In addition, high-quality fittings ensure security and smooth functionality. The chosen configuration has a significant impact on the overall performance of the window. The following categories are available:
- Thermal Insulation: Energy-efficient windows are essential for reducing heating costs and creating a comfortable indoor climate. High-performance glazing combined with advanced frame profiles helps to minimise heat loss. In particular, energy-saving windows with double or triple insulating glazing help retain warmth within the room and improve the building’s CO₂ balance. The glazing consists of multiple panes separated by a spacer bar (edge seal), which maintains a defined distance between the panes. The cavity created between the panes is filled with a noble gas with very low thermal conductivity, significantly enhancing insulation performance.
- Burglary Resistance: Windows are often considered a vulnerable point in home security. Modern security fittings, multi-point locking systems and lockable handles provide effective protection against forced entry. When combined with security glazing, windows can achieve resistance classes up to RC2, offering increased protection for your home.
- Sound Insulation: Effective sound insulation is particularly important in urban environments. Specially designed acoustic windows prevent unwanted external noise from entering your living space, creating a calm and comfortable indoor atmosphere. Neuffer offers four different sound insulation classes (Classes 2–5). Sound insulation Class 2 is now standard in modern residential construction. However, depending on the level of environmental noise, it is often advisable to choose Sound Insulation Class 3 or 4 for enhanced comfort.
You may also combine features from all categories, integrating security fittings with multi-pane insulating glazing into your chosen window model. In particular, thermal insulation remains a key consideration for every homeowner.
