How a Bifold Door Opening Works
- Closed:
When the bifold door is closed, all panels are aligned straight. The internal fittings are set securely into the locking plates and the handles themselves may additionally be locked with a key. - Swung and/or folded open:
Depending on the structure of the selected door, once the handle of an operable sash has been turned, this sash and any of its connected panels can be slid along a rail to effortlessly open, folding to the side. If they are manufactured to do so, sometimes a sash can rather be swung inwards like a French door.
