uPVC, also known as unplasticized polyvinyl chloride or vinyl, is a synthetic, recyclable, and modern material that is becoming increasingly popular in the contemporary window and door industry, and for good reason too: the material is made up of thermally insulating chambers, that make it very energy-efficient and offer an excellent price to performance ratio. Thanks to their low maintenance and versatile surfaces, uPVC windows also bring an elegant design that can be flexibly customised with our range of RAL colours, enhanced security fittings, and more. Just read on to find out more and start your Neuffer journey today.
The Key Benefits
- Excellent insulation: with chambers and additional foam, our profiles trap air and reduce heat loss via conduction to keep interiors at a comfortable temperature.
- Ease of upkeep: thanks to its smooth, modern surfaces, uPVC can be easily wiped clean and is durable.
- Highly customisable: uPVC lends itself to being easily formed into differently shaped frames during manufacturing and works well with a range of quality surface finishes.
Choose Your Opening System
To tailor our products precisely to customer needs, our windows can pivot, feature a tilt and turn system, or rather be fixed. No one system is necessarily better than another, rather each comes with its own benefits. Where a fixed window can provide the highest security, a tilt and turn mechanism brings impressively versatile functionality, for example. Just click on the links to learn more.

Deciding on the Ideal Window Type
To create bespoke product solutions that match our different clients’ requirements, our windows can come with more than one sash. A rectangular model could feature two or three, for example. This makes particularly large dimensions possible but also allows for flexible airing. Both panels could be fixed, for example, or rather one could swing open while the other could feature a tilt and turn system to ventilate the interior by differing amounts. If at least two operable sashes are chosen, the customer can also decide whether there should be a dividing bar, or mullion, between them. Opting not to have this divider and choosing a so-called “flying mullion” opening can provide uninterrupted views out.
Alongside our variable number of panels, additional glazed elements, such as upper and lower fanlights, can also be selected. These add-ons can be installed above or below individual sashes or rather stretch over multiple ones. Our fanlights can also optionally tilt open. They can add additional light, character, position the window higher, and provide secure yet steady airing. Whatever you opt for, with our wide range of window shapes and add-ons, we can work to find a tailored solution that will perfectly complete your building project.
