Fixed Windows

Uninterrupted Views and a Customisable Design

Request a quote

Compared to standard operable casement models, most of our fixed windows do not feature a sash and rather have glass that is directly and securely attached to the frame. The window cannot open and is often installed in a particularly large dimension for a floor to ceiling front or to highlight a wide panoramic view. In a smaller size, a set window can also be ideally used as an upper fanlight installed high up above an operable sash to add character and bring in extra light.

The Key Benefits of a Fixed Window

  • Unobstructed views out: With one quality glazed panel attached to a slim frame, fixed windows add clean simplicity and bring the outside in.
  • Available in particularly large dimensions: The maximum size of standard windows is sometimes restricted due to the sash’s weight. Because most of our set models don’t feature this casement, they can come in particularly large dimensions.
  • Excellent thermal performance: With fewer fittings and tightly sealed glass, fixed windows are very energy efficient as there is less room for heat to be lost.
  • Customisable to different design preferences: Due to their simple yet high-quality nature, these windows can come in many different shapes. A range of finishes, matching bars, and textured glasses are also on offer.
  • Achieve maximum soundproofing & weather resistance: Our products can feature glass that’s purpose-designed with integrated foils and coatings to resist high-winds, even up to hurricane level, and to create peaceful interiors.
  • High security: Given their durable frames, snug seals, and quality glazing, fixed products can provide the highest break-in protection.

Shapes, Elements & Sizes – Deciding on the Ideal Window

At Neuffer fixed windows can come in many different forms. Standard square and rectangular models are available, for example, but so are impressive round options that can be ideal for creating a unique focal point.

Different arches featuring multiple glazed elements can then also be chosen, which help buildings meet requirements for listed areas, for example, and add elegance. Our trapezoid or triangle frames, on the other hand, can then be ideal for large gables to add light to loft conversions or make good use of awkward corners. These differently shaped windows are then all available in a wide range of custom sizes to perfectly suit unique customer projects.

It is also worth noting that fixed windows do not only need to come with one glazed element. They can also feature two or three glazed panels encased in the frame. This adds character and can bring flexibility in that not all parts have to be fixed. The central panel could be set, for example, while the outer two could function separately and be equipped with one of our opening systems.
